Bhojpuri is the second most-spoken language in India after Hindi and Bhojpuri cinema is the 2nd most-produced film. Still not a single Bihari fellow studying in Delhi University, working in Gurgaon, Pune, or Mumbai went to see these films. Bhojpuri and Bhojpurias were looked dpwn as a language and people. It was tthe scenario when P.K.wari launched his Bhojpuri channel ‘Mahuaa TV’ and this too was neglected in the beginning.

But the situation changed rapidly as many Hindi channels found it a tough competetor to beat and the viewers started shifting to Mahuaa TV and Bhojpuri films too are giving a run for the money to Bollywood at the box-offices. Mahuaa TV unlocked the Bhojpuri potential on 11th August 2008 and today it completes the second year of successful existance.

This 24 hr Bhojpuri general entertainment channel, seeks to identify with and meet the needs of the Bhojpuri Community through its programs which have a strong local essence and the right mix of aspiration and entertainment.
Mahuaa presents the next generation of Bhojpuri entertainment with an innovative blend of diverse programs besides keeping in mind the production values that appeal to both, urban as well as rural, Bhojpuri audience. This channel offers a potpourri of programs with ingredients like Serials, Feature Films, Reality shows, News etc.

Today Mahuaa is giving challenge to major GEC Channels in the region of UP, Bihar and BSM market. Within 2 years Mahuaa had worked and is working with the famous brands such as Prakash Jha, Gajendra Singh(Saibaba telefilms), Sheel Kumar( Shreya Communication), Ashwin Dheer(Garima Vision), Ramanand Sagar etc.

The famous musical reality show of Mahuaa TV Sur-Sangram is starting its second season with glimpses of the auditions held at 13 cities of India to select the participants for its mega audition at Mumbai. This will provide an opportunity for the viewers to have a glimpse of a maximum possible nummer of aspirants.

The show has been designed by Gajendra Singh, the Father of Reality Shows in India and produced by his company Sai Baba Telefilms. Sur-Sangram is based on the Bhojpuri culture and music and will be presenting popular film songs as well as traditional folk songs and ritual songs.

The show starts from Friday 6th August and will be shown every Fridays and Saturdays from 8 PM onwards on Mahuaa TV.
The next two episodes will preesent the glimpses from the mega audition held at Mumbai in which the 24 contestants were selected.

The show is going to have three permanent judges and one special invitee judge every week. The special invitee judge, Malini Awasthi and Kalpana will be judging the contestants for their music and singing whereas the super star of Bhojpuri cinema, Ravi Kishan, will be judging the particiipants for their appearance, style of presentation, and overall personality. This is one of the major differences from the earlier run of the show.

Manoj Tiwari is going to anchor the show as he did in the previous season and will be tryng to keep within defined limits this musical war between the contestants representing Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. He did it exceptionaly best way last time and it is hoped that the second season too will show his marvel

The popular reality show of Mahuaa TV Bhauji No.1 will be full of love and devotion this week. The show is telecast from Monday to Thursday from 8 PM onwards. This week the show is having famous Bhojpuri folk-singer Bharat Sharma Vyas as special guest of the week who will start the show with his song Goriya Chand Ke Anjoriya Niar Gor Badu Ho (Hey lady, you are as fair as a moonlight) and every one on the stage will start dancing.

This week the participants are Rashmi from Ranchi as Rangili Bhauji, Indu too from Ranchi as Chabilee Bhauji, Amruta Tiwari from Patna as Rasili Bhauji, and Tripti Sonkar from Gaziabad as Jhumri Bhauji. These participants will try to impress the judges and enterain the viewers with there performing arts.

The best one is selected as Bhauji No.1 of the week.
